European Museum Night 2010
12.05.10
Proarte fine art gallery, JLR GDAŃSK Jaguar Land Rover Authorised Diller and Rezydent Hotel*****, invite you to a night programme as a part of European Museum Night 2010.He never stops experimenting with his music, by mixing various styles that become the new ones.
The Museum Night will be the time when we will present Artists who became friends of the gallery, as well as the best pieces of art from proarte collection.
Magda Peszkowska – graduated from the Academy of Art in Gdańsk, now living and creating in Wrocław. Experimenting artist. She gained popularity after showing paintings on rollaway beds and military blankets. We will see a set of monochromatic paintings e.g.: „Kupię suknię” (I will by a dress) – inspired by Allegro auctions, showing emotional state of the artist.
Artur Wyszecki – graduated from the Academy of Art in Gdańsk, versatile artist, a scholar with a great workshop, recently forgotten by Polish galleries. His works very often correlate with european painting canons. We will see e.g.: „ Łazienka Arnolfinich” (The Arnolfins bathroom), „ Kotłownia” (Boiler room).
Jan Opaliński – living and creating in Łódź. Talented illustrator and graphic designer. Grotesque in his work (“Accelerated Antoni” or „Inviolable”) is an example of the artist’s sense of humour and a great workshop. Paintings of Opaliński are mostly women in different situations and atmosphere. “ Biała noc” (White night), „Klęcząca” (She Kneeing), „Gwiazdka” (A Star), are cogitative paintings, full of concentration without unnecessary decorations.
Anna Gawlikowska – graduated from the Academy of Art in Wrocław. She began with a set masterly linocuts „Święto Księżyca” (Moon Day). Fascinated by human face and nature influence on a human being, he creates compelling paintings that strongly affect the viewers.

Opening of the Exhibition Hall of the Gallery proarte in Hotel Rezydent
15.07.09
The greatest artists at the beginningOn 30 May 2009 the Exhibition Hall proarte modern & contemporary fine art gallery was opened in Hotel Rezydent***** Sopot . At the vernissage it was possible to see classic works of modern art by the three great Catalonian artists Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró and Salvador Dali as well as by the Belarussian Master Marc Chagall.
Polish art was represented by artists of the young generation from three creative centres; Anna Gawlikowska from Wrocław, Marta Sieciarz from Warsaw and Piotr Korzeniowski from Cracow.
Gallery proarte, run by Alicja Harackiewicz, has operated since 2005. It specializes in modern and contemporary art from the second half of the 19th century, through the 20th century and up to the present day. It operates on two planes. Firstly, it presents European masters of modernism and postmodernism as well as contemporary classics by cooperating with selected galleries, collectors, auction houses and publishers abroad. Works are sold together with professional documentation guaranteeing their authenticity and provenance. Secondly, the gallery displays the most recent Polish art both domestically and abroad. The gallery monitors the Poland-wide selection of artists’ works from many different milieus in order to present interesting artists of the young generation who have been exhibited and awarded for their work.
The exhibition hall of the gallery proarte in Sopot’s Hotel Rezydent***** is a new addition to the cultural map of the Tri-City and is addressed to collectors and investors as well as art lovers. Apart from being able to marvel at the works on permanent display the venue also gives the possibility of participating in special shows, lectures and discussions. Thanks to individual consultations on the Polish and European art markets, deciding to make a purchase and thus invest in art prudently and with an eye to the future is made so much easier.
The exhibition in the proarte Exhibition Hall in Hotel Rezydent***** is open for visitors from Mondays to Fridays upon prior arrangement with the gallery owner (Alicja Harackiewicz, tel.: 501-491-195). The collection can be viewed on Saturdays, without prior arrangement, between 12 and 5pm.
